About Me

  • My name is Cody Higginbotham, I am a two sport athlete.
  • I play varsity football and baseball for Clover High School.
  • For football I play Defensive-End and Tight-End.
  • For baseball I play 3rd Base, Outfield, and Pitcher.
  • I bat and throw right handed.
  • I will graduate in 2023. 
  • I am 6'4, and 185 lbs.
  • I have a 4.5 GPA.

Major Events

Junior Season Playoffs

Closed in the playoffs, helping take the team to the district championship. Last inning with under 15 pitched and continuing to keep my ERA under 1 with no earned runs scored against me.

Sophomore Year clover High School

First high school inning, I pitched one inning throwing 9 pitches with 2 K's and 8 strikes.

Sophomore Year clover High School

Started Pitching and had a great season both at the plate and on the mound. Every inning pitched was under 15 pitches and had above a .300 batting average on the season until it was cut short due to COVID.

17U Baseball Tournament

I pitched against Canes National in order to move the team to the championship, I pitched 3.2 innings with 6 k's. I had pitched a full game the day before, therefore had very few pitches left for this game.

17U Tournament

Pitched full game against Southern Athletics Orange:

-Through 7 innings I threw 95 pitches

- Average of 3 pitches thrown per batter

-First batter out ratio 0.722

Finished the tournament with 3.088 ERA after pitching 22.2 innings

Heads up double play, big tournament in Myrtle Beach . Pitcher was struggling and needed help on the mound, big double play... Momentum changer:

-2 AB's with 2 QAB's

-0 errors in the field

18U Tournament

Tournament in Georgia DH-ed with a double, a 70% QAB and had to finish the game and get the last out using 3 pitches and striking out the final batter to end the inning.

18U Tournament

Had a great tournament at the plate hitting multiple doubles and timely hits: 

-Pitched the whole game with an average of 13.5 pitches thrown each inning

-Averaged 3.04 batters faced per inning

-I got 21 batters out in 3 or less pitches

Major Events

Varsity Football:

Defensive MVP with 10 tackles and 2 broken plays, in one game. I was second string but, when my chance came, and I never looked back.

Varsity Baseball:

I pitched and had a sub 1 ERA. Impacting the teams overall accomplishment of being the first team in school history to win region.

JV Football:

My sophomore year I was the captain of the Football team and played every down, contributing to the undefeated season. DEF/OFF/SPECIAL

Every year I try to get as many people as possible to participate in the non-profit organization to help local families with autism.

The years following covid all hospitals had a shortage of blood due to the decrease in people donating. I decided, with the help of my grandfather, to host a blood drive with red cross.

I helped with a fundraiser in Charlotte to help get kids outside and playing sports. It was a non-profit organization to raise awareness and money for families with autism.
